Zaporizhmlyn is another successful enterprise within HD-group that, despite the ongoing war, not only continues to operate steadily but also improves quality and broadens its product range.

Zaporizhmlyn produces flour under its own brand, 'Hlibodar,' and supplies flour to all regions of Ukraine, catering to both its own production and other businesses in the baking, pasta, and confectionery industries.

In addition to milling, the company offers storage services for grain and oilseeds. Its elevator has a storage capacity of 35,000 tons of grain. The daily output of the wheat mill is 130 tons, while the stone grinding section produces 22 tons per day. The total production and sales volume of flour across the highest, first, and second grades is approximately 100 tons daily.

“At the onset of the full-scale invasion, we focused on preserving existing capacities, but starting in 2023, we returned to implementing planned new projects,” says Serhiy Lapin, Head of Processing at HD-group. "We have launched an additional stone grinding line, which has enabled us to increase the production of rye and whole grain (wheat and rye) flours by 30%. The rise in milling capacity is a response to the increasing demand for nutritious bakery products.”

According to Lapin, particular attention is given to product safety at the enterprise. Currently, a project is underway to assess the rheological properties of flour, which influence the quality of finished products. Soon, advanced quality assessment instruments, including the AlveoLab and the CD1 laboratory mill from European manufacturer CHOPIN Technologies, will be introduced at the facility.

Serhiy Lapin notes that the technological processes of the wheat mill are built on the latest modern technologies and are fully computerized, ensuring a high level of product quality while minimizing human involvement.
