Social-humanitarian and educational projects, Austrian business in Ukraine during the war - became the main topics at the meeting of honorary consuls of Austria in Ukraine, which took place in Kyiv at the Austrian Embassy.
The event was actively participated by the CEO and co-owner of HD-group, Boris Shestopalov, who has been an Honorary Consul of Austria in Zaporizhzhia for many years.
Austria has 6 honorary consulates in Ukraine - in Lviv, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa.
Boris Shestopalov believes that the institution of Honorary Consuls is an effective mechanism for cooperation between local authorities and the business community with the Embassy and governmental organizations of Austria. That's why he actively develops Ukrainian-Austrian relations in the Zaporizhzhia region.
It is worth noting that earlier this year, thanks to Boris Shestopalov's initiative, a meeting with an Austrian delegation led by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Austria to Ukraine, Arad Benkö, was held in Zaporizhzhia. He emphasized the important role of Ukraine in defending European security and Austria's readiness to provide comprehensive support in humanitarian aid during wartime, as well as in the country's recovery and reconstruction efforts.
