Kosher gingerbread produced at the HD-group factory will appear on Rosh Hashanah in Israel
"Zaporizhzhya bakery factory No.1, which is a part of the HD-group located in Zaporizhzhya, has resumed its cooperation with Israel. Specifically, they have manufactured and exported a batch of confectionery products called "Kosher Gingerbread."
According to Serhiy Smyrnov, the Head of Export Sales at HD-group, the company faced logistical challenges due to the state of war in the country. However, this year they have successfully re-established their partnership with Israeli partners and fulfilled a special order for the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. Additionally, these Kosher Gingerbread products will also be supplied to religious communities in Ukraine.
Serhiy Smyrnov explains that the production of this gingerbread strictly adheres to high kosher standards. It requires specific requirements for raw materials and is accompanied by rituals prescribed by the Jewish culture, way of life, and faith. For instance, prayers and the lighting of the oven by a rabbi are obligatory. This exemplifies the flexibility of our company in its relationships with partners. We are committed to meeting specific needs that go beyond our existing technologies and standards," concludes Serhiy Smyrnov."
